Activities 2026- 2027
Seaside Quilters love to get together, so in addition to our monthly meetings and workshops.
We meet twice a month to have sewing time together. The second Monday of each month, we meet to sew in person from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. We call it Quilt ‘Til You Wilt (QTYW). We meet at Tierrasanta Lutheran Church, located at 11240 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Any sewing project is welcome. Our 2nd get-together is on Zoom the fourth Friday of every month. Finish it Friday is an open Zoom session, so you can come and go during 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Any projects are welcome, just like QTYW. Hand sewing, machine sewing, new projects, old projects- it is all welcome. Both of these activities allow for sharing of ideas, sewing tips, and getting to know each other.
Bus Trips – Our guild enjoys bus trips. Over the past two years, we have taken a bus to Road to California in January. We went up and back in one day to the largest quilt show in Southern California, held in Ontario, California, just two hours away. We are going again this year! We have chosen Thursday, January 21, 2027, for our bus trip to Ontario.
Retreats – We travel three times a year to the Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula. The retreats are three nights and four days of fun and lots and lots of uninterrupted sewing. You may pay a deposit on the website. Dates for 2025/26 are:
September 28 – October 1, 2026
January 11 – January 14, 2027
May 13, 2027 – May 16, 2027
